3 Things: Skincare I've Been Enjoying

Skincare for sensitive skin

If you’ve read my recent skincare posts then you’ll know that generally speaking I’m not one for switching too much up. I’ve reached a point where I am finally happy with my routine and I have no intention of trying to upset the balance anytime soon. That said there have been a few products recently, some new and some old, that I have been really enjoying and just had to share.

La Roche Posay Hyalu B5

La Roche Posay Hyalu B5: Disclosure, when I first used this I wasn’t quite sure what it was so just slotted it in as a serum step in my routine, applying a pea-sized amount every morning and evening. I’ve since learnt this is in fact a moisturiser but honestly, on it’s own I don’t think it would be enough for my very dry skin. That said, as a “serum” step it has been working beautifully. It’s a cream formula but much lighter than many moisturiers I have tried. Unlike a lot of the products from La Roche Posay it is slightly scented but nothing too strong and it hasn’t irritated my skin. The formula is full of Hyaluronic Acid and B5 which work together to help rehydrate the skin, nourish and help to reduce the appearance of any fine lines. I can’t say I’ve noticed a reduction in fine lines but my skin has been drinking this up and it certainly looks plumper and more radiant after I use it.

La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5

La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5: Another from the B5 range, their Cicaplast cream has become a staple. It’s not a sexy product but it does the job and I love it. A cica cream will work to hydrate, soothe and repair sensitive or dry skin so you can imagine how much I have been loving this. It’s a very thick cream so isn’t one that I would apply all over my face bit a little on my lips before bed and first thing in the morning has really helped to keep them feeling more plumped and less chapped.

Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask

Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfection Mask: This is a mask that I go back to time after time. It does everything I want from a mask but manages to do it very gently. It brightens, gently exfoliates with fruit acids but is also packed full of hyaluronic acid so helps to also leave skin feeling hydrated and plumped. The texture is unlike anything else I have ever felt, it’s meant to feel like the texture of clouds. It tingles very slightly on the skin but in a refreshing and cooling way. Whenever I remove this my skin is left feeling softer and brighter, it’s the perfect way to add a little glow to your winter skin.

Being able to start playing around with skincare a little more often has been so exciting. It’s something I’ve really missed and each of these products have been both effective but also gentle on my skin. They have been the perfect introductions to ensure that my skin is still looking radiant and hydrated but they aren’t too heavy or too intense. The combination together has been great and I have really enjoyed using them.
