My Favourite Summer Beauty Products
Summer always has me itching to refresh my regular products and look for the lightest most radiance-inducing products out there. I want the skincare that gives a natural glow, the tanning products that give me the perfect tan sans the sun damage and, of course, the perfect summer fragrance. Everything needs to be light, hydrating and easy - I don’t want to spend the warm weather doing complicated beauty routines and applying layers of product. These are the products that have made the cut this summer. And yes, they’re all cruelty-free.
Beauty Pie Japanfusion Pure Transforming Cleanser
The balm to oil formula does a brilliant job at removing all of your make up, cutting through any remaining SPF and refreshing your skin. It contains Vitamin C to brighten, Vitamin E to soothe and hydrating complexes for the perfect cleansing combination. It leaves my dry and sensitive skin feeling smooth, comfortable and nourished.
Beauty Pie QI Energy Moisturiser
This is the best night cream I’ve tried. It’s full of squalene, hyaluronic acid and ceramides to plump and hydrate the skin without over-loading it or feeling too heavy, particularly in the heat. By morning everything is fully absorbed and combined with the Isle Of Paradise Tanning Drops, it gives the perfect glow (I use 2 drops of medium each night).
St Tropez Express Mousse Tan
Everyone wants the perfect summer tan and St Tropez’s Express mousse gives you that in a couple of hours without the need to lay in the sun. It’s a win-win: you get your flawless tan but you’re not exposing yourself to harmful rays. The guide colour means you can easily see where it’s applied to avoid any dodgy tan lines and the express formula lets you tailor your tan to achieve the perfect shade for you.
Fenty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer
This is the cream bronzer of the summer, or so it seems. The matte formula buffs into the skin beautifully giving the perfect bronzed tone to the skin but also providing a dewy, naturally radiant highlight without the need for any shimmer or glitter to be applied. The shade range is diverse with Butta Biscuit being my go-to for a light bronzing and hint of definition.
Clean Reserve Citron Fig
Literally the scent of summer and the perfect summer fragrance. It’s fresh, light, citrusy but not too sweet or sickly thanks to the fig. It walks the line of having the crisp notes usually associated with more masculine fragrances but the citrus balances it perfectly making it the ideal gender-neutral fragrance. Each spritz makes me feel like I’m in southern Italy on a warm summers day and I am here for it.
