Stress, tiredness, bad weather and mask-ne are just some of the challenges facing our skin right now so having an arsenal of products to rely on is key.

Occasionally a skincare product will come along and you end up wondering how you ever went without it. The kind of product that solves any problems quickly and suddenly you’re stockpiling the back ups so you’re never apart again. Between stress, winter, and general mask-wearing my skin has been crying out for two things; hydration and something that will stop congestion and breakouts in their tracks. These three products have all helped to calm my skin, tackle any break outs but still keep my skin feeling hydrated and radiant.

Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Mask*

I used this years ago and have recently fallen back in love. It’s an ideal clay mask for anyone with dry skin, being gentle and light on the skin but still effective. It calms spots, reduces oil and leaves skin feeling smooth without feeling stripped thanks to the aloe vera and combination of fatty acids to nourish the skin. It also smells like a spa, bonus!

Kate Somerville Eradi-Kate Blemish Treatment*

Not only is this endlessly satisfying to apply (it’s the small things) but it gets to work and fast-forwards any breakouts to a point where they’re starting to heal. The zinc oxide helps to absorb any excess oil, BHA’s work as an anti-inflammatory while the sulfur starts to exfoliate and prevent future spots. Got one of those horrible, painful under-the-skin spots? This helps it to heal without bringing to a head that you can’t resist trying to get rid of yourself (it never ends well, does it).

The Inkey List Polyglutamic Acid*

A must for anyone with dehydrated skin, especially if you’re also throwing in clay masks and spot-treatments to the mix. It’s 3x more powerful than hyaluronic acid, it’s super lightweight and leaves skin feeling fresh, supple and comfortable. It’s a staple in my routine every morning and evening and as with all products from The Inkey List, it’s much more affordable than a lot of other similar products.
